Background

Fulham & Co., located in Wellesley, Massachusetts, is co-managed by two brothers, John N. Fulham III and Timothy W. Fulham. We have spent most of our careers at the company after first obtaining formal education and work experience in law and accounting, respectively.

A Family Business

Fulham & Co. is a family-owned firm, founded by our grandfather in 1917. Our father, John N. ("Jack") Fulham Jr., joined the firm in 1947. For three generations, the firm owned and managed commercial fishing and related businesses in New England. In the late 1960s, Jack Fulham began to sell these operating businesses. In the ensuing years, with the help of his sons, Jack built Fulham & Co. into a successful investment banking boutique, specializing in providing financial advice and assistance in negotiating permanent capital for family-owned enterprises located primarily in the northeast U.S.

In 1984, Fulham & Co. began to invest in companies for our own account. Since 1993, because of the success of these investments, we have focused exclusively on acting as lead investor in many closely-held businesses. Fulham & Co. is currently invested in several portfolio companies, each involved in making branded products for commercial markets.

Experience & Expertise

In addition to the Fulham family, the professional staff includes a controller and three operating partners, all of whom have extensive experience in day-to-day manage-ment of manufacturing enterprises.
